What This Session Does
This session focuses on one thing β one discrete memory that still carries emotional weight.
We gently help your system process that experience differently. The memory begins to feel lighter. Calmer. Easier to hold.
This isn't about retelling your story. It's about updating how your brain holds it.
I use a neuroscience-based approach that works directly with the subconscious brain. Many people notice the emotional intensity soften significantly in a single session β sometimes even to the point that the memory feels neutral.

Nothing is required of you except to show up and follow along.

- I'll guide the process step by step while you follow along privately from your own space
- Camera is optional β your microphone stays off
- Any feedback I ask for happens through the chatbox only

Emotional reactions often trace back to specific experiences.
What you're feeling isn't random. It has a root β a specific moment your nervous system learned to respond a certain way.
That response can stay active long after the event is over.
Even if you understand what happened, your system may still react the same way when the memory β or a similar situation β comes up. This is why insight alone rarely brings the relief you're looking for.
When the memory is processed differently, the reaction can change.

I'm Susan Isom β a Neural Retraining Coach and certified practitioner specializing in anxiety, overthinking, and the stress patterns that feel stuck no matter how hard you try to think your way through them.
I came to this work as a former engineer β someone who spent years trying to understand and analyze my way out of anxiety before I found an approach that worked at a different level entirely.
I believe real relief shouldn't require years of therapy or retelling your story over and over β just the right approach, applied gently.
You don't need to do more. Your system needs a safe place to relax, update, and reset. This session is that space.

Can I join if I'm new to your work?
Yes β this is a wonderful place to start. It's designed to be a simple, supportive first experience, with plenty of guidance along the way.
What happens during the session?
We begin with an orientation that's part of the session itself β it prepares your brain for the work. From there, I guide you through a structured, gentle process focused on one specific memory. You participate quietly from your own space, and you never need to share the details with the group.
How does the process work in a group setting?
Even though we meet as a group, each person stays with their own memory internally. I guide everyone through the same gentle process while you quietly stay with a specific moment from your own life. The details of your memory remain completely private β you never need to share anything with the group. Because the process happens within your own mind, the shifts that occur are personal to you, even though we're moving through it together.
Will I need to share my memory with the group?
No. Any feedback I ask for is given in the chatbox, usually as simple numbers β rating emotional intensity from 0 to 10. There's also an optional debrief at the end if you'd like to share anything then.
What kind of memory should I bring?
Bring one specific memory or experience that still feels unresolved or emotionally charged. It does not need to be the biggest or worst thing that ever happened β just something that still feels active when you think about it. Pick a discrete memory: one with a clear beginning and end, rather than a broad life theme. As a general guide, choose something that feels like a 6 to 8 on a 0β10 intensity scale: noticeable, but still manageable. If it feels higher than that, it may be too big for an Introductory Session. If it feels lower, the shift may be harder to notice. If youβre unsure what to choose, thatβs okay β you do not need to get it perfect.
What if I'm not sure which memory to choose?
There's no need to choose perfectly. Pick a specific moment that still carries some emotional charge β ideally in the 6β8 range. If several come to mind, choose the one that surfaces most often, or the one you sense has had the greatest impact on your life. You do not need to get this exactly right for the session to be helpful. Will I have to relive the memory or feel everything all over again?
No. The goal is not to relive the experience. You briefly bring a specific moment to mind while staying grounded in the present. The session helps your brain update how that memory is stored β so it no longer carries the same emotional intensity. Most people are surprised by how gentle and manageable the process feels.
What if I become emotional during the session?
Emotional responses are completely normal. If that happens, the most helpful approach is to observe the feeling and allow it to move through while continuing to follow the guidance. You're never required to speak or share. By the end of the session, most people notice the emotional charge around their memory has already begun to shift.
What if I don't notice a shift during the session?
Everyone experiences the process differently. Some people notice a clear shift during the session; others find the change becomes more noticeable over the following days. There's nothing you need to "do right" β simply following the guidance and staying present is enough.
How should I prepare?
Choose a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be interrupted for the full 90 minutes β by people or pets. Silence all notifications. You can sit, recline, or even lie down β however you'll be most comfortable and able to completely relax. Grab a blanket if you'd like. The more settled you are, the easier it is to stay present with the guidance from beginning to end.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. This session is designed so you can participate privately without sharing personal details. Because it's a group experience, I cannot guarantee confidentiality in the same way as a private session β but personal disclosure is never part of the process.
What if I can't attend live?
Group Intro Sessions are offered live only and are not recorded. This helps preserve the privacy, presence, and integrity of the experience. When you register, you'll choose the date and time that works best for you.
How can I continue this work after the session?
The next step for many people is the Monthly Reset Sessions membership β ongoing group sessions with a new theme each month, at an accessible monthly rate. If you prefer private 1:1 work, a small number of individual spots are available each month. Reach out for details.
